This place was built by Maharana Jai Singh (AD1680-1698) for one of his horsemen, who by accepting the challenge of Maharana Jai Singh. Successfully crossed a treacherous gorge at the third jump. Maharana rewarded the horseman by constructing double storeyed palace at the top of the hill.
